If You Didn't Love Me [Why Are You Still Here]
You say it’s over, but you’re still around,
Holding onto words you never let out.
Caught in the silence, a whisper’s ache,
Why are you here if your heart’s not awake?
If you didn’t love me, why are you still here?
Haunting these hallways, pulling me near.
Every step closer, you drift away,
If you didn’t love me, why’d you stay?
Late night confessions, eyes that don’t meet,
Words like shadows, bitter and sweet.
There’s something you're hiding, that I can’t see,
If love’s a stranger, then why choose me?
If you didn’t love me, why are you still here?
Filling the silence, fueling my fear.
Holding on tightly just to let go,
If you didn’t love me, I’d need to know.
Maybe there’s a reason, some hidden truth,
Or maybe I’m the ghost of someone you once knew.
But I need an answer, to make this clear,
If you didn’t love me, why are you here?
If you didn’t love me, why are you still here?
Lingering softly, close but unclear.
Maybe it’s comfort, maybe it’s fear,
If you didn’t love me, why are you here?
If you didn’t love me, don’t stay in vain,
Don’t leave me holding onto your name.
Walk out that door, or love me near,
If you didn’t love me… why are you here?
