"I'll Take The Train"
Rolling on the tracks, where the mountains meet the sky,
Leaving all my troubles in the rearview, rolling by,
Some folks take the highway, others take a plane,
But when it’s time to leave this town, I’ll take the train.
I’ll take the train, where the whistles blow real loud,
I’ll ride the rails, through the rain and thunder clouds,
No rush to get there, just letting go of pain,
When it’s time to leave this town, I’ll take the train.
Memories like postcards, line the rusted tracks,
Every mile, a story I’ll never take back,
Some are bound for something new, others run from shame,
But whatever waits down the line, I’ll take the train.
’ll take the train, where the whistles blow real loud,
I’ll ride the rails, through the rain and thunder clouds,
No rush to get there, just letting go of pain,
When it’s time to leave this town, I’ll take the train.
Sometimes the longest way’s the best way to go,
When you’re not sure where the heart wants to flow,
One way ticket on a winding track,
I’ll find my way, there’s no looking back.
I’ll take the train, where the whistles blow real loud,
I’ll ride the rails, through the rain and thunder clouds,
No rush to get there, just letting go of pain,
When it’s time to leave this town, I’ll take the train.
Yeah, when it’s time to leave this town, I’ll take the train,
Rolling down the line, through sunshine and rain,
No turning back, no baggage to claim,
I’m bound for somewhere new, I’ll take the train.
